Hello,

I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Eco-Diesel which tows 7,400. We taking a trip from Houston to North Dallas and towing a 2016 Wildwood X-Lite 201BHXL. I'm a little nervous as it being our first time towing a travel trailer and was seeking some guidance on capabilities.

Here are the specs of the travel trailer:
Hitch Weight: 528 lbs
UVW: 4233 lbs
CCC: 3295 lbs
Length: 23' 7"

We will be traveling with obvious necessities such as a generator and things...
Any advice for 1st time towers would be appreciated!
Thank you.

We have towed a 21 foot TT for over 15,000 miles with our 2014 diesel GC. I recommend both a weight distribution hitch and anti-sway bar. We met another couple on one of our trips towing a 23 foot TT like yours with the same set-up. Tows like a charm! Don't be alarmed by the rising temp guage towing up long uphill grades -- right up next to the red zone. That happens to me and appears to happen to everyone who tows with the diesel GC, but I have never had it overheat, and neither has my friend with his larger TT, not even towing up the 11 mile 11% uphill grade out of Skagway, Alaska.
