Had my 2014 Jeep GC diesel since day one. It’s a 2014 model but bought new in 2015. Cat replaced, muffler replaced, O2 sensors replaced, tranny deal leaked and replaced. All under warranty. Recall for EGR came out and no dealer had parts. I called weekly and no luck with part so I went on with my life. Driving in the freeway car lost power and large puff of fire smell smoke emitting from engine. Couldn't find source but towed to dealer. To my luck they found EGR valve on stock (miracle) and replaced it as well as headers. Said headers cracked. Drove it for two weeks after that and then it happened. Engine loud click noise like a catastrophic failure noise. Towed it to dealer. Waiting for update but preliminary info is that engine might be done at 87k miles. Hoping extended warrantee from fca recall covers it. We’ll see.
