2015 JGC Summit, Full Delete/Tuned…Is This A Good Deal?

I have found a JGC that has mashed all of our buttons. It is located 700 miles from where I live. The JGC has 130k miles, full delete, Stage 2 Sofa King Tuning programmer with touchpad, factory tow package, 4x4, air suspension and zero rust. Clear/Clean Title. The following are email comments the seller has conveyed during our email conversations.

“Car runs and drives like brand new. 130,000 miles 2 owner car. The delete pipe is from CB engineering and it is a full stainless exhaust. I also put a bigger intercooler on from rippmods. I went up from about 18-22mpg to anywhere from 24-30mpg depending on how you drive and overall performance is much better with little turbo lag. I have owned the car since 2018 and did all the mods myself around that time as well. I do not have service records from all the fluid changes but I did them all right at 100k miles. . The tires are from 2017 or 2018 I believe and are about half tread or so. The hitch is factory and is rated up to 7,400 pounds. I have towed with it a few times but nothing too long distance. I would pull a 24 foot boat about 15-20 miles to the boat ramp and my mpg usually dropped to around 16-18mpg. The car tows very well, I have a f250 as well and they tow very similar just the truck has a little more power. All recalls have been addressed.”

WHY……
I am not new to diesels (08 Ram/Cummins/Megacab, full delete/MM3 Tuner & 311k miles (which I also need to sell), but have zero knowledge about the Ecodiesel; however, I am reading and studying. We have a Lexus GX470 (off-road modified…need to sell that also) that we pull our 1,800 lb low profile (5' tall) camper with. Our present10 MPG is killing me towing with the Lexus. We travel to Montana every spring and fall, about 4,800 miles round trip. Love the Lexus…but am needing something that will pull the little camper with hopefully 20+ MPG, capable for easy to lightly moderate off-road (we’re not mudders and don’t tear up our gear playing). I also need the ability to tow the vehicle flat four behind our motorhome for our casual traveling (we can tow the Lexus flat four but the 10 MPG is killing me).

The seller is asking 22k. There is a little body rash on two fenders (nothing major). The interior appears very clean. The selling is taking additional pictures and video today and will be forwarding them to me. I would like to settle out at 19k or under…we haven’t discussed money at this point.

I am calling upon the Diesel Jeep collective to provide me some insight and guidance regarding what the seller has, the mods
and if you see any potential problem areas, etc. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

I am certainly happy to see you post here and hope you will continue to do so, but this is a very quiet forum these days. I suggest that, in addition to being here, you also join the Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum and-or the Jeep Enthusiast Forums as both of those are quite a bit more active.
