I think AFE has an intake out for 3.0l, don't think it will do much good without doing something with the exhaust, won't matter getting more air in if you can't get more out thru the exhaust , dpf would have to go !

Anyone do an intake and get any better power / fuel mileage ?

I installed it. I'm happy with it. I've never had an intake system that has yielded results on the butt dyno. But I didn't buy it for 0-60. I bought it for responsiveness and the sweet turbo sound.

Did you pick up any mpg increases ?
Which filter did you get, the dry one (gray ) or the oiled one (blue)

Installed AFE CAI along with MagnaFlow exhaust, and have seen about 4/5 MPG increase so far. Looking forward to a tuner from here in the states as I'm not confident in the one's I'm seeing on the market now from the UK.

4/5 mpg??? Wow! Any chance you can take a video of the exhaust so we can hear what it sounds like? How loud is the intake/turbo whistle? There orbs YouTube video of the afe on a Ram ecodiesel and I thought the whistle was wayyyy to loud.

The 4/5 MPG is after running 1 tank of fuel. As far as the intake/turbo whistle is very minimal. I can't hear it with the windows down and the radio on at a normal volume level. If I can get someone to record the sound I will post it.

All of this is interesting but the intake is simply there to help your motor breath more efficiently!
The exhaust will not do anything unless you remove the DPF (by means of tuning)! The DPF is the most restrictive thing on these vehicles.
I personally put the AFE on my wife overland and the sounds is great, it breathes well and at our house at 7,000ft in elevation the motor works far less to pull in the air it requires.

Anyway we have 20,000 miles with the AFE and we netted a break even after putting the Nittos on the factory 20's. YTD average is 28.9 mpg

Total miles are 50,000 in 1.5 years of use. Pulls great and is excellent as a vehicle!

Hi! since you guys have already installed an AFE intake on your ride, may I know if you also need to install a heat shield with it? if yes, do you have some DIY tips for the heat shield?
Everything the AFE comes with I put on the jeep. Its very easy to install. Tightest part is near the turbo housing. Ill take pictures and show you in the near future how I did it. Not to difficult
