I know that this is not related to the engine, however, I though there may be some interest by this active section of the forum. I am looking for applications that can run on the 8.4AN radio. In particular I would like an application that interfaces a blue tooth keyboard to the system. The application would let me record mileage, trip diary or maintenance activity. What other applications are available?

I'm not aware of any app that would allow the use of a bluetooth keyboard with the 8.4AN radio.

Available apps can be found at the U-Connect store. A Google search will turn up other apps from third parties. I didn't see anything for a keyboard though.

Thats the problem. All aps that I have found deal with music. The system in that radio has so much capability it would be a shame if other types of aps are not designed for it. I hope some wise software engineer that gets a jeep with that radio considers the possible demand for cool aps that we could run.

I suspect the issue is more of a proprietary nature in that it's a question of how much code access Chrysler is willing to allow to a third party app developer. And even then, if the radio and software was never intended to be used for anything other than what Chrysler advertises it to be capable of then it becomes a moot point.

LOL... but then, I'm not a programmer/developer so I could be talking out of my rear on this.
