Monday marked the 7th time I've had my 2014 JGC in the shop for P20EE codes. The first one was at 450 miles and went off as I was taking it to the shop because the oil lifetime prematurely expired.
To date I've got less than 7000 miles and Monday was exactly 60 miles since it was in the shop for a week as they tried to fix it. They replaced the O2 sensor and reflashed the software for the 4th time with updates. That apparently didn't fix the problem and has been the only repair to date with the exception of software updates.
On Monday I took it to the actual dealer I bought it from and within 15 minutes they told me the catalytic converter was bad. Im an engineer and wanted to see what the reading were so I asked to see the emissions report and was told they based this off recent history, did not actually perform an exhaust analysis and was by direction of the factory warranty center. So basically they really don't if know the converter is bad.
At this point I was told that there is a one month back order for converters and they were not going to order one because a redesigned replacement is due within the next 6 weeks.
So, here I sit with a jeep that seems to run fine with a constant error code and I'm feeling like I'm getting the run around.
Has anyone else heard of a new converter coming out ?
