My saga continues along many of you...
I reported on the 19th my mil light went off after 5 days and all seemed ok despite the code reading P20EE
Today, Def fluid was getting low so I added container and as soon as I started to drive the car, light illuminated and the message appeared about bad def and to see the dealer. Also received a new code: P2BA9
Those of you who are further along with these issues- what is the best course of action?
Updates:
12/29/14: dreaded count down light came on - 200 miles and car will not start thereafter.
Current mileage is at 13,000. I literally taped a note for the mechanic where scanner plugs in with notes from this forum! Asked to please order the parts now.
Appointment at dealer in morning...
12/30/14: pick up from dealer. Check engine light now off. They performed a number of the software upgrades.... They Report its fixed?
1/2/15: check engine light back on. After Approx 80 miles , Same P20EE code.
1/6/15: back to dealer , now ordering the cat but it's on back order with no date provided. Gave me a Dodge Dart to drive for now. Said the countdown could occur again. I Asked if they did a def flow test... But No response.

1/20/15: after been at dealer 2 weeks awaiting parts, Dealer now says fixed. Come and get it! Gee, I get to turn in the Dart :) . I'll report back with what was replaced besides cat and oxygen sensors...

My issues with my 14 JGC ecodiesel are similar to everyone else on this thread, and after much trial and error in replacing parts on the DEF system, and months in service, the dealership finally replaced the catalytic converter and this has finally fixed the issue, with no problems for several thousand miles. Hope this helps those who may be having issues........

Thanks, may be light at the end of the tunnel? I'm awaiting for the back ordered Cat. Maybe another week...?
I'm now considering an extended warranty. I've always turned these down but this vehicle if kept for the long haul just might neede it! Especially with all the latest electronics as in all new cars.

I too have posted much about the same def issues. My cat and associated parts was finally replaced approx. 1000 miles ago. This was after 3 visits. Second visit I spoke to the general manager of the service department and he provided me a loaner for about 2 weeks until the parts arrived and repair was complete.
Stay calm, reasonable and be assertive. I bought my service advisor a Starbucks card!
So far all is running fine...

Yeah I assume that logically speaking from a business perspective, they want to get it right and it appears people want to buy the diesels based on sales so far. Perhaps its because I have an early build (I got it Jan 27 2014) that I am having more issues than most and as more people get them, the dealers will get more people to work on them. My dealer also sells Dodges in the same building, so between the two brands, I am sure I am not the only guy going in there with an oil burner. Even the service tech sort of sighed heavily when I said "seems like Jeep is having quite a few problems with these Diesels". He sorta admitted it's been out of control.

But as I say, I just don't know how I feel about this thing in the longer term. What happens after my warranty wears out? What is the longevity/reliability of this whole SCR/DEF system? How costly will it be to maintain? Is the engine designed to work with such a system in the long term? What is the longevity/reliability of the engine with such a system?

I shoulda thought about this diesel a lot more before I bought it. I guess I will just have to wait to see what they say when they call me.
Yes, appears this dealer is "extra" incompetent. Also had some trouble at a northern va dealer but finally resolved. My cat has been replaced.
Running ok but mileage has dropped down since replacement. Not sure of cause...

I have owned many vehicles and all brand new purchases. Never purchased an extended warranty. However, For very first time, I've purchased an extended warranty - for this vehicle! Purchased last night, on line with 15k miles on jeep!

What dealer did you go to? I've been going to Ourisman in Alexandria. I know there are a few in the area though. I think I finally found a service adviser there who may know what he's doing, but that doesn't mean the service techs do. I e-mailed the service manager yesterday with my concerns and am waiting to hear back. I may make Chrysler Customer Care have it thoroughly inspected by a separate dealer at their expense however just to be sure.
Lindsay Chrysler Jeep in Manassas. Gee, can't say if any better...
