P20EE code at approx. 3500 mi. Cleared code. Reappeared at 7400 mi, yesterday. I have not been to the dealer. Purchased in September, so no software updates.
I drive this vehicle hard. I'm curious to see how it is after a software flash. The car has little opportunity for anything to get gummed up. I always service my own vehicles, and figured I would take care of most issues with the GC and hoped to never go to the dealer without knowing exactly what the problem is. I did purchase the factory service manual as I have with all my vehicles. (I did try to get an appointment at the dealer today and they couldn't see me for 2 weeks!)

Sorry people are having issues here. Maybe with these issues, put your foot in it every once and a while. No excuses for any of this. The fact that many of the dealers suck isn't helping.

Short Volvo Turbo story: My colleague has a T60 with 172k mi and the dealer says he needs a cat. ($2400). We are going Boston up to Maine and he is going 60 mph. I said let's beat this thing to the client site and see if we can't "fix" the cat. Did a bunch of 40-90 full throttle, he got a bit carried away and went a little over a buck a few times. We did not clear any codes. 2 days later the engine light went off for good. So for an extra 3 gallons of gas we "fixed" the problem. :)

Update:
The dealer updated the software to address the fault code. I also had a small oil leak around the lower oil pan seal. They resealed the pan, I put the oil filter and oil in the back. They also did the visor recall. They did not reset the oil life monitor and I did find a air box hose clamp that wasn't tightened. (Not a huge deal, it wasn't going anywhere).
They did get me back the vehicle the same day, which I thought was impressive since they were slammed. I have driven about 4000 mi since the flash, it seems to have done the trick. This was my first service visit anywhere since 2002. They were pretty good. I did bring in a detailed sheet of what was wrong including a pic of the oil leak.
