How do you think the Cherokee Diesel with compare against the Porsche Cayenne Diesel.

It's going to be about half the cost, and I think have roughly the same specs - the "Porsche" name! It even looks better imho!

Well i think its a neck in neck battle, But cayenne may be the winner?

The Cayenne will have better handling & quicker times (except for the SRT) but the Jeep will have better off-road-ability.

Just the fact that a Jeep is being mentioned alongside a Porsche is a win for the Jeep. Would that even have been considered 5 or 10 years ago??

Good point actually. Jeep has really stepped it up. Though, I had an 80's wagoneer a couple years ago that could move for sure! It was stopping all that weight that was the problem.

Cayenne wins from the simple fact that anyone can walk into a dealer and drive out in one.
So far a diesel Grand Cherokee is just a myth. Albeit one that sucked me into selling my existing vehicle to own one two months(June) AFTER they were supposed to be released(April).
