I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD with the GDE tune and other minor mods. Overall not a bad vehicle, but not the fountain of economy that I expected. Looking forward to looking at the new Grand Cherokee diesel but having owned one now for a while I will be more knowledable regarding my decision.
Hi, nice to have another Liberty owner on the forum! I have the eco-full torque tune. The mileage is good, but not what some are reporting on the lost kj forum. I get around 29.3 if I keep to less 65 mph, but city is only 21-22.
Hi I am an Australia jeep diesel owner with the new grand cherokee. I have had a wide range of diesel jeeps in the past including wrangler, patriot, liberty/cherokee and yes all with diesels. I am being told we will also be getting the new cherokee in diesel here in Australia this year with a Alpha 4 cylinder good for 50 mpg and with stop start technology. It will become the family second car when it arrives.
Welcome to the forum Iaintait! How are you liking the new Cherokee?

I sold my 2007 Grand Cherokee Limited CRD to order a 2014 Overland CRD. I had the Green Diesel Engineering ECO tune on the Jeep. Excellent tune and GDE already has tunes for the VM 3.0.

I am the proud owner of a 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited CRD. 120000 miles and counting!
Nice. I get about the same mileage on my 2006 Liberty Limited CRD.
I've the 2011 GC CRD Overland , 3. 0 VM V6 but with 190 HP and love it.
Hi folks
I am a Canadian Jeep diesel owner and used to diesel ( Mercedes 1984 300D)

I received and used my new Overland Diesel 2014 in november. 5000km to date
I had to start in cold weather in Québec La Malbaie. -26 celcius or -15 Fahenheit. It stated whitout any hezitation. Howerer, it is not a good habit, I prefer plug it when we could have electricity for the parking site. Up to date very satisfied. 10 liters per 100 km (23,5 mile/gal(us)) in very cold temperature mix city and highway. Could not be more happy. My GMC 4.8 liter (292 cu in) made 13 mile/gal (us) in the same condition and temperature. average of -10 F

In two week, I am going for a road trip to Quebec California 16 000 miles trip towing a 19 foot trailer 4300 pound (dry 2900+ 400 option+ 1000 equipement) with all camping gear and acc. I will keep you inform: my GMC did 12 mile/us gal for a trip to miami.

Have had an 05 Liberty CRD for about 3 yrs. Not the greatest mileage. Had some stupid little issues early on, but now its at 96k. I did find out something interesting. I priced the Timing Belt/Water pump/pullies replacement at 100k... The dealer who knows the most about CRD around me here in the DC area quoted me approx. $2400 for the work. My brother-in-law priced it near him at between $700-1000 (western Ohio).

This thing smokes like a champ.... Much more than the other 3 diesels I own.

Still debating the GDE Eco Tune. But have the re-flash and stock(orig) Torque converter. My youngest daughter will be driving it as her daily shortly.

Had the GDC about a month now and love it. Averaging about 26 mpg so far.

I'm about to do my 2nd timing belt at 200K. If Jeep does the job their book rate is 6.3 hours I believe and you can buy a parts kit from idparts.com for around $400, so the total should be in the $12-1300 range. I'm also a fan of the eco tune, had mine for 160,000 of my 200,000 miles. Itow a lot so Iput in the heavy duty torque converter, but my daughter still has the stock in her CRD

Just turned 20k miles on my 2014 Overland JGC diesel with no problems other than some minor interior rattles, which I hear may be caused by the extra bit of vibration from the diesel engine. Had a couple of minor recall items handled with recent service, but so far so good.
Just turned 10k on my GC Limited EcoDiesel and already had it in for the DEF fluid issues. Overall I love it and have been getting great mileage.
We are around 3,000 on the 2015 Limited. Great gas mileage and will say no more (Don't want to jinx myself)
