i have a 2015 Grand cherokee EcoDiesel. It’s not starting. It rolls over, but won’t connect to start and makes an odd noise while trying to start, it’s more high pitched than when it does start. This happened a few months ago, had it towed to a dealership and a day and a half later when they were able to look at it, it started fine. So now we are back in the same boat, I just hate to have it towed back to the dealership for a repeat situation. Any ideas or experience?

How many miles are on it? Have you changed the fuel filters yet? Are you by any chance holding the gas pedal (I know its a diesel) down while it is cranking?

Fuel filters are changed every other oil change which I do every 6-7k miles. It has 74k miles on it. Ended up putting some fuel injector fluid in and I haven’t had problems since so hopefully that’s the issue.
