My '14 JGC Summit Diesel with 17k miles makes a very very high pitch noise. My dealer assures me it is normal. I don't agree because this noise only appeared at 12k miles. Now that I am aware of the noise it drives me nutz especially when the car is stopped at a traffic light. My wife can hear the noise the describes it as a whirring noise. To me its just a high pitch noise that should not be there.

Might be a pump or a fan going. I had a similar noise and it turned out the back plate was touching the rotor on my front left tire

Had same problem 2 days after driving 150 miles on 2015 model. It is probably a broken hose in the engine that relates to EGR valve sensor.

Go to a Dodge dealership that sells commercial diesel trucks, they should have a good diesel mechanic (hopefully).
