I have a 2014 Limited Diesel, which was purchase in July 2014 and now has a about 9800, mostly highway, miles. Everything runs well until last week. There is a noticeable humming sound from the engine when the speed approaching 40 mph. The sound will continue whether the speed is up or down until a full stop. The engine seems to have a low rpm of less than 1500, at around 40 mph. Any comments/suggestions?

Has your humming noise been resolved? I have a similar humming noise that started at about 14k. I now have 15k. The dealership assures me it is normal. However this noise high pitch noise I have is new. I notice mine all the time even when the vehicle is stopped at a traffic light etc..

Yes, I took it to the dealership. The following are highlights from the service report:

A DRIVEABILITY - CUSTOMER STATES WHEN GOING FROM 40-50 MPH THE FRONT
END IS HUMMING. CUSTOMER DESCRIBES THE ENGINE MAKING THE NOISE.
PLEASE CHECK AND ADVISE
CAUSE: left front hub bearing

LEFT FRONT HUB BEARING DEFECTIVE. REPLACED LEFT FRONT HUB BEARING.
TEST DROVE VEHICLE--NO FURTHER ISSUES.
