Anyone else with hot tune here?
So far it has been great. Sport mode is now on as soon as I leave driveway :D
It happens quite often that the anti-slip engages in 1st and and sometimes in 2nd gear - on the dry road!

I read the horror stories on this forum, but my GC was nothing but fun. And if my DEF system goes to out, it will get deleted.

I was checking out he Ecodiesels on YouTube that has GDE. I'm sort of skeptical when it come to buying aftermarket products especially when it come to voiding the warranty.
GDE tune has been just fine. Prime reason for install is to minimize soot but there are other plus factors as well. I would not hesitate installing this on this engine.

650 is the lowest end, usually on hot days, city driving, full throttle on green light and idling mixed together with bigger tires. Since I wrapped the stock 20' wheels with larger/wider tires, the economy went down a notch, but still over 700 range most of the time. Honestly, the economy is so good the I just can't feel the fill-ups impacting my wallet anymore. Years ago when owning a Suburban, I remember filling up for $20 at a time and counting miles. $80 was a full tank with range of 430 miles !
Anyway the 900+ is an extreme when traveling to Dallas and back on a single tank (320 miles each way). AAC behind 18wheelers helps as well.

I've run both GDE and PPEI, the GDE tune is a really nice tune, great drive ability and the fuel mileage is a tad better than the PPEI tune
