I'm a new member. Have a 2014 Jeep GC diesel. Have a miss and dealer diganosed a bad
glow plug; offered to replace it but cautioned that removing the plug could strip the threads
and if that happened it was a $4800 plus repair bill to replace the cylinder head casing.
Was pretty shocked and it did not instill much conficence about their tech's ability. Should
I take my Jeep to a diesel repair specialist. We have Diesel Injection Services in Louisville
where I am located. The engine is clean and has 133 K miles on it. How likely is this
problem going to occur? Thanks.
