2008 diesel jeep. 170,000kms, I think the glow plugs are original.

first 5 glow plugs came out just fine.

Last one I did (drivers side closest to the fire wall) is stuck.

It was really tight to unscrew. I used penetraing fluid, warmed engine up etc.. It was moving bit by bit, then it felt like it loosen up and started to unscrew more easily.. Now it just spins and spins and spins, but won't come out. I can wobble it in the hole, but won't come out.

Is the tip swollen bigger then the hole?

If this is the case I know I need to be careful not to break the tip off.

What can I do?

What is the black plastic covering right over this glow plug? I can't figure out how to get it off. It would help me try to pull it straight out if I can get it out of the way.
