Hey guy,

So I finally did it! Picking up my overland eco diesel in 2 days. Does anyone have any advice for me. Early stage maintenance? Break- in recommendations?

I also purchased one of these def gauge protectors to install. http://jeepecodieselfix.com
Bought opti-lube xpd as a fuel additive and got myself a gas cap too.

Would appreciate any input!!

Congrats! - Should be all good - main thing is dealer is competent in servicing it!

(That protector looks 'really HD' - I'd get same if I did more aggressive off-road).

Just came across this Dodge Ecodiesel 'wide open throttle' test hauling total 11,400 lbs (rig and trailer) up mountain pass- that turbo had to be 'cherry red':

Don't baby it .Drive it like you will on a day to day basis .that way you don't do something crazy with it and it break's .Hope you enjoy it .They are Nice Vehicles .

I just bought a 2015 GC Eco-Diesel Friday night. Saturday check engine light came on, less than 100 miles. Guess I should have purchased the V8, or an Explorer.

Well, I picked up my week-old GC diesel from the dealer Saturday, with its new catalytic converter. Tonight the check engine light came on again. Almost 500 miles on it now. What a waste of money. Its a very nice vehicle, but I have zero confidence in it. I will never buy another Jeep despite how nice the are. Too many other options out there.

Every now and then you get a Lemon I would Talk to Dealer and see if they will throw in some Free oil changes for your troubles ?
