Our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Diesel has nitrogen in the tires. I was stumped on where I could get them filled (without going to the dealer).

Turns out if you're a Costco member you can get nitrogen fill up for free. I thought this only worked if you purchased the tires, but all you need is a membership. Just thought I'd let anyone interested know.

I've been using 100% nitrogen in aircraft tires for years. It's day and night from standard atmosphere percentages. There is little if any leakage and seasonal tire pressure fluctuations are minimal if at all.

Additionally to properly get the full benefits of nitrogen (pressure stability, fire retardant gas, no moisture corroding the inside of your wheels, no internal rubber degradation) you must purge the tire as you do a new propane tank to rid the deflated tire of oxygen so a little is wasted before the final fill. You need 100%.
