Anyone else have a woofer failure with associated stored code for speaker power loss?

It's happened three times but not for the dealer to observe. All bass is lost and you have to turn the car off for ten minutes for it to reset. Immediate restart does not help.

The dealer says they have to see it to fix it.

I've been to the dealer last week for a CEL (which was the DEF injector wiring being cut...) And the service manager did some updates on my TCM, PCM ( the famous mpg dropping update) and he also told me he updated the radio unit, because the amp would tend to fail sometimes, causing the volume to lower by itself while driving. Maybe there is an update available for yours !

So it's been in the shop for three weeks and now they say there is some type of factory wiring issue because the new amp (second one) did nothing. Somehow that was determined when they plug the car in the analyzer. They say there is some type of "factory option" wired that is not listed on the build sheet. This was last week. As far as when it happens it is random when the car is started. That's the only common thread. You turn the radio on with the ignition and nothing, tweeters only. The dealer has had it a month now. Same problem for 30,000 miles. They gave me a Wrangler so not to bad waiting it out. Rides rough as hell though and ten less MPG.

As far as updates,it has been there often enough to get the latest updates as they came out, including the latest one for touch screen freeze up. No help.

Today, March 16, 2018 the radio has failed again with a new amplifier because the one they replaced a year ago was the "wrong" one. The dealer said it was a factory error. I've had it with Jeep and the Tinley Park, IL dealership. The rear seat warmers they fixed last spring with two new switches and a relay are out again and they were used probably once after they fixed them.

Moving up to Escalade.
