I was rear ended and took my granite crystal overland to a jeep dealership repair shop thinking it would be the best place to fix it with all the electronics. They painted the new parts with a pearlcoat and have told me I am "1 out of 100 that would see the difference". Can any of you tell me if your granite crystal reflects light like a prism? Here are two pics (taken in the dark with a flash) of my jeep, one of the original paint and another of the repaired lift gate.

I see a huge difference. I guess 98 other people don't look at the paint job. My guess is it would be noticeable if the whole car was painted that way. Side by side is very obvious

Thanks. They are still having a hard time matching it and say they use factory paint. The last update the guy told me that women just see color better than men. He just keeps passing it off like I am being super picky and not like they got it wrong.

I wouldn't accept it, either. I think differences this large, especially at the transition lines, would drive me crazy!

there are 11 different shades of granite crystal. yes, 11. i just got my 2012 ram 1500 resprayed, except top and tail... ex girlfriend and an ice pick! they guy took 3 days to match the shade. its insane, just like my ex!
