I ordered a diesel Limited on the 19th of Dec. I have not heard anything from Chrysler yet via e-mail. What can I expect as far as progress notification? The dealer is checking on the order but no info so far. What have other buyers experienced?

I ordered one on the 23rd of Nov. It shipped on to 30th of Dec. tomorrow is the end of the 6th week. Perhaps the holidays added a couple of days. Mine is also a Limited. Once I got the VIN from the dealer which took about 8 days and a phone call I started watching online. I never received any emails although my salesman assures me my email address was with my order. I was told 6 to 8 weeks and I think for me it will be 7. I expect it to show up any day. Good luck... I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I Purchased a Diesel Limited the end of August and it took 12 weeks from order to delivery to NH. Chrysler's update system did take roughly 2 weeks to start updating and they are not completely accurate with vehicle status updates. Mine stayed in quality control much longer than they estimated it would - not sure why.

I order a JGC Summit diesel on Nov 30th. It tools 2 weeks to get a Vin and initial email. My dealership is looking into things, but have not heard back. Mybest guess is I will get my jeep by late January which would be 8 weeks.

Today starts the 7th week of my Limited that was ordered on the 23rd of Nov.

Today Fedex delivered 2 cases of DEF that that I ordered from amazon prime and was delayed because of the snow storm.... The Vehicle should show up this week. I don't think snow stops choo choo trains. There was a thing at the bottom of the VOTS web page that ask if you would like to subscribe..... in hindsight, maybe if I had I would have gotten e-mails.

You know..... even if the jeep was here in this storm I would have still used my winter beater rice burner. The reason Fedex couldn't deliver the DEF to my shop was because I stayed home until roads were cleared. Having traction out in the boonies is different... things around you aren't moving.... here in the Boston area everything around you slipping and sliding or throwing salt.

Well the Jeep dealer screwed up. They did not put my order in properly on 19th of Dec. They realized after I called in on the 2th of Jan and then put it in again. About a $600 increase in price because price increase for the Off Road II. The dealer will absorb the change in price. Now will not deliver until start of March. Jeep did contact me today so I know they have the order.

Well that worries me, I ordered on the 20th and haven't heard a thing.
today marks the middle of my 7th week. VOTS shows it having shipped on the 30th so any day now. Jeep never called me. I got the VIN from my salesman about 8 workdays after the 23rd of Nov. But I did get a call a few minutes ago wanting 3 minutes of my time to answer a few questions about my experience. They said they would call back after I received my vehicle. I would think your salesman would be able to get you a VIN by now.

I really don't like buying new cars..... I think I lucked out with the dealership and salesman I have. I had to go to four before I found one I was comfortable with.... But the car is not in my driveway yet and I suppose that could all change over the next week or so. I feel your salesman could have been a little more accommodating ..... Mine put me on hold while he called and came back with a vin. But jeep has never updated me.... No calls.... No emails..... Just me using the vin on the web site to follow progress. I'm sure it will all work out. Once you get it it will be the service department that's important anyway...... Not the sales.

7 weeks today and my salesman called me about 20 minutes ago to tell me they are unloading it from the truck. So next week I can take care of the money part. One limited 4x2 white with tow. Next weekend is the RV show in Boston but I think I'm going to drag the one I have around this summer. Still doesn't hurt to look. At least now I will be towing 45% of load instead of 110%. And getting closer to 20mpg than 10.

Congrats! Hope it lives up to and meets your expectations.

My White (to match my trailer) Limited 4x2 diesel with tow and engine heater is now in my driveway... or at least behind my shop. Seven and one half weeks from order to possession. I now have to figure out all the electronics... but so far no complaints. I told the salesman not to add any DEF until I get a handle on the issue. He told me that there was a bulletin and that they were not to do so unless the customer requested it. That it was shipped not full to allow for freezing. Not really sure how much is in it but I will know before weekend. The compartment in front of the shift is plenty deep enough for a brake controller. The pig tail was in the glove compartment. Now I need to figure out the mirror situation. I now have a dog in the fight... From reading the manual I am of a mind they all come with engine heaters and its the cable they install at the factory.

LOL... not doubting the block heater issue Casper but the logic of installing a block heater as standard equipment on a diesel engine and then making the customer buy the freakin' cord to be able to use it just escapes me.

The motor probably is manufactured with the heating eliment. The manual addresses it as the optional power cord.... The thing I couldn't understand was having to get HID headlights and a hole in your roof to upgrade to 4WD. But now I'm thinking maybe the upgraded dash/display might be needed to support the 4WD ending up with a 6k price hike instead of 2k. I probably would have gone 4WD but 40k was a stretch for me as it is for a vehicle. Especially one that's only going to be used primarily to tow.
