Hi,

I'm tired of the diesel smell in the cabin, so I want to change the filter to a hepa type or charcoal charged filter.

Anyone know the part # for the cabin filter & the part # for the diesel oil filter?

Mopar part numbers as follows...

Cabin air filter: 68079487AA (fits 2011 and up)
3.0L diesel oil filter: 68109834AA

Note: You may find an engine oil filter part number of 68191349AA. Be aware that this is specifically for the export 3.0L gas engine and it will not work on the diesel.

FYI - from what I've found the dealers are supposedly getting $42 for the oil filter.

Found it here for much less - just ordered 2 today.

If they become even less as more of these engines hit the road, well, at least I didn't buy a whole case. I'm not yet certain what shipping will cost, they estimate $15 worst case scenario, but even if that happens, it's better than $84 for 2 filters - sheesh.

Newbie question here to the OP...

Are you getting Diesel fumes in the cabin? Most of these new clean diesels burn off the residual diesel in the exhaust. The only time I've smelled diesel in my VW TDI is when "I" made the mistake of tracking some into the car after a fuel up. Believe me, I know what diesel smells like because I used to deliver it for a living! LOL!

Found a carbon in cabin air filter at Premier Air Filters on the WEB. Only had it in a couple of days. Seems to be better but it's to early to know for sure. Just had the oil changed at the dealer. $55.00 for the filter! This must have been sourced at Ferrari!
